This idea came to me while I was going to the Toronto Public Reference Library to find some images of Socrates, and this bust was so excellently cross-hatched that appropriating the actual image would save time the tear drop was from a wisp of hair cut out on the collage. It was also inspired from Milton Glaser's work. Collage is extremely surreal, taking the context directly out of the image and altering its meaning.

Fahrenheit 451/Indian in the Cupboard mash-up of an idea to illustrate the meaning of the concept. I mixed charcoal with watercolour and ink, touch ups with watered down gouache paint, which really helps heightening an area of focus. That's supposed to be a flapping book with the character running out of the pages.

Alright, sorry for not posting anything in nearly two months! Holy Smokes, the entire group has been creating some fantastic work, we have all been busy, so look forward to more posts!
